After almost six years in roles such as Head of Expansion and Chief Development Officer (CDO) at Storytel, Stefan Tegenfalk has chosen to step down. The new CDO as of 1 January 2021 will be Jörgen Gullbrandson, today Interim Chief Financial Officer at Storytel.
“Storytel is a fantastic workplace, and it has been incredibly inspiring to work closely with CEO Jonas Tellander, our Chairman of the Board Rustan Panday, and all the other talented employees at Storytel. We are currently operating on more than 20 markets, and next year we will release a large number of innovative functions and products that enhance the customer experience and take the service to new levels”, says Stefan Tegenfalk.
Stefan Tegenfalk has an extensive entrepreneurial background and has previously for example helped develop Bredbandsbolaget and PacketFront as well as the publishing and media group Massolit, which was acquired by Storytel in 2015. During his first four years at Storytel, Stefan was the Head of Expansion. For the past two years he has been responsible for Storytel’s technological product development in his role as Chief Development Officer.
“It has been exciting, challenging and intense years building the company, but they have also demanded a lot of energy. I have therefore decided that 2020 will be my last year at Storytel. It was not an easy decision to make, and there are, of course, feelings of melancholy in it, but most of all I am incredibly proud that the Storytel I now have chosen to leave, is a world-class company today”, says Stefan Tegenfalk.
Jörgen Gullbrandson has served as Storytel’s Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) the past year while CFO Sofie Zettergren has been on parental leave, which ends on 31 December 2020. As Jörgen assumes the role of CDO he will also become a regular member of Storytel’s Management Team. Jörgen has considerable experience in leading technologically driven companies and has, for example, served as Managing Director EMEA at the leading employer-branding company Universum and as CEO of Readly, a digital subscription service for newspapers and magazines.
